Creating games as a hobby versus creating games for a living requires a different approach. No market research, over-scoping, poor planning, insufficient user testing, … are just a couple of reasons why most indie studios fail to succeed.
DAE Studios’ mission is to prevent those errors and to provide coaching on how to become a self-sufficient, profitable studio that creates awesome games.
DAE Studios is a Belgium-based spinoff initiated by the internationally acclaimed educational program Digital Arts & Entertainment of Howest University of Applied Sciences.
The program aims to offer the time, space, and knowledge to build your games and business.Â
We accomplish our mission by creating a flourishing game ecosystem, offering coaching during the first professional steps, and providing the right opportunities at the right time, thanks to our partner network.
DAE Studios is the co-organiser of the Unwrap festival, focused on exploring the future of games, music, film, media and -moreover- the untapped potential of their crossovers. Unwrap is a two-day festival with speakers from various backgrounds painting their picture for the future of entertainment.
During the festival, there are lots of interesting activities such as expert talks, panels and networking opportunities for indie studios with national and international companies.
We are humbled to receive the opportunity to surround ourselves with these talented folks. The following people are experts in their field of game development and are available for questions, guidance and feedback for the studios in our accelerator.
